A Winter Starry Night in the Forest with Callisto + Avalon

In early December I was yearning to be creative, so I collaborated with a handful of brilliant local vendors to create this socially distanced photoshoot which showcases our Callisto and Avalon wedding dresses in the magical forest of Rosewall Grove Farm. This property holds a special place in my heart as it's actually run by me and my other half, and we're turning this once uncared for property into a lavender farm, wedding venue, and cabin lodge! Purchasing this land last January before the world shut down, we had a set timeline in mind and although the pandemic has slowed our progress, we're getting one step closer to realizing this beautiful land's potential with each passing month. The photography by the ever-talented Becca at Rivkah Photography captured this place so perfectly, and the photos help me remember how far we've come since we took possession of this place. Ohhh the hundreds of projects of a fixer upper.

Jodi from Jam & Co. Luxury Picnics was wonderful, really helping me set the vision for this 'Winter Starry Night in the Forest' theme, and she brought along her amazing assortment of decor (which included that fantastic vintage style telescope!). Coastal Cake Co, who will actually be creating a cake for mine and Tim's wedding this June, created a jaw dropping cosmic cake which is hands down one of my faves thus far, as I'm a lover of all things astronomy. We used a triangle arch that my dad made for our venue, and I adorned this with the land's cedar and hemlock boughs, and added in deep red and snowy white peonies which were supplied by Persephone Bloom. Since we don't get too much snow here, I was able to add some contrast to the foliage with a good ol' can of fake snow that I bought from Home Depot, and this combined with a pack of twinkly string lights I sourced on Amazon set the tone perfectly.

Morgan from Things By Mo crafted this beautiful stationery, the rich reds, whites, and starry golds of it were spot on with the theme. Ashley from Wild & Cozy was our muse, and I'm so thankful that she braved the cold on short notice to make this vision come to life. Can you believe this badass babe has a bun in the oven?!

I hope you love the gallery as much as I do!
